Our Motto

At Fairacres, we live by a simple saying: “Where every member is a minister.”

It’s more than a phrase—it’s how we live out our faith every day. We believe God calls all of us to be disciples, sharing the Gospel, serving the community, and walking alongside one another in truth and love.

What We Believe

We are a Bible-believing Southern Baptist church grounded in the truth of Scripture and the grace of Jesus Christ. Our teaching, worship, and mission are built upon the foundation of God’s Word.

Our core beliefs align with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000), including:

  • Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ
  • The authority and inerrancy of Scripture
  • The priesthood of every believer
  • Autonomy of the local church under Christ
  • The importance of missions and evangelism

Statement Of Faith

BIBLE

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. 2 Tim. 3:16-17
  • We believe that God used human authors under the direction of the Holy Spirit to write exactly what He wanted without error or contradiction. 2 Pet. 1:20-21
  • We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments (all 66 books) are the inspired Word of God, without error or contradiction.

GOD

  • We believe in one God who is the creator of all things and has always existed. Gen. 1:1, Deut. 6:4, Col. 1:16
  • We believe in the trinity, that God is three distinct persons and are all equally God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. 2 Cor. 13:14, 1 Tim. 2:5, John 1:1-3, John 15:26
  • We believe God is omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, sovereign, infinite, eternal, unchanging, holy, just, righteous, loving, good, and true.

JESUS

  • We believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, God incarnate, Savior of the world, the Son of God who was born of a virgin by the Holy Spirit, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, and was raised from the dead on the third day. Col. 1:15; John 1:14; Matt. 1:23; 1 John 3:5; 1 Cor. 15:3-4
  • We believe Jesus has always existed from the beginning with God. John 1:1-3
  • We believe Jesus will return again to righteously judge the world at His Second Coming. Mark 14:24-27; Rev. 19:11-16

HOLY SPIRIT

  • We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide. Titus 3:5, John 14:26, John 16:7
  • We believe the Holy Spirit provides spiritual gifting to each believer for the benefit of the body of Christ. 1 Cor. 12

SALVATION

  • We believe salvation only occurs through faith in Jesus Christ. John 3:16; John 14:6
  • We believe salvation is only received through faith and not good works. Eph. 2:8-9
  • We believe all believers who have genuinely received Christ as their Savior are sealed with the Holy Spirit and eternally secure in Christ. Rom. 8:38-39; Eph. 1:13-14

A Church That Feels Like Home

Fairacres Baptist Church is a traditional Southern Baptist church and a place of tradition and togetherness. For over 75 years, we’ve been a welcoming, spiritual home for families across Las Cruces, Fairacres, and Picacho Hills.

Our church family is diverse in age and background, but united in our desire to know God more deeply, support one another, and serve our neighbors in love. As stewards of the resources God provides, we seek to grow wisely and give generously. Our church is committed to supporting missions, serving those in need, and maintaining a welcoming space for worship and ministry.

Every offering, every act of service, and every prayer is part of something bigger—advancing God’s Kingdom one faithful step at a time. According to the Scriptures, Christians should contribute their means cheerfully, regularly, systematically, proportionately, and liberally for the advancement of the Redeemer’s cause on earth.
